Impact management at the level of the foundation as a whole is still a relatively vaguely defined concept. The discussion is often limited to whether and how a foundation attempts to measure impact. A recent case study of six European foundations proposes a much broader concept along three dimensions, which, in addition to structures and processes, also includes the organisational culture and the handling of information and knowledge within the foundation.

In the Impact working group on June 25, 2024, we will use these dimensions as a starting point in order to attempt to draw up an overview among interested foundations. To this end, all participants will be asked in advance to categorise their own foundation according to these three dimensions in a playful and completely non-binding way.
