Currently two initiatives of global relevance are taking shape in Geneva: The Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation (GESDA) and, with the dedicated support of Fondation Botnar, the International Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative (I-DAIR).

While the two projects are very different in content – and we will hear more about this during the event – they share some common issues and goals for example: How to enable public-private partnerships on an international scale? How to broaden the circle of beneficiaries of scientific and technological advances?

Needless to say, the location of Geneva is no coincidence in either case. As a hub of neutrality-driven diplomacy and international organisations – among others the CERN and the International Red Cross, who both serve as thought leaders in their sector – this location is the best possible starting point for ambitious projects like these.

How can foundations, big and small, seize the opportunities of such projects? What role could they take in fostering such ambitious projects? What can we learn from the achievements and experiences from GESDA, I-DAIR and Fondation Botnar in setting up successful collaborations?

Let’s discuss!

Speakers: Dr. Aline Cossy-Gantner, Chief Learning Officer Fondation Botnar; Dr. Amandeep Gill, CEO/Project Director I-DAIR; Sandro Giuliani, Executive Director of the Impact Forum/Fund GESDA
