Technology and cybersecurity have become integral to our daily lives and global infrastructure. Funding in this area allows philanthropic organizations to address critical issues such as privacy, security, digital rights, and the ethical use of technology. In addition, philanthropic funding can help bridge the gap between the speed of technological advancement and policy-making by supporting research, advocacy efforts and digital literacy in general.

With its Cyber Initiative, the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation invested over the past 10 years 163.6 million dollars to help build and strengthen the emerging cyber policy field.

In this webinar, aimed at funders, the Hewlett Foundation will share their approach, strategic evolution, identification of gaps and learnings in the tech policy field over the past 10 years. A great opportunity for funders to engage in the forefront of responsible technology advancement and digital literacy.

Inputs by:
Eli Sugarman, Director of the Cyber Initiative at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
Sherry Huang, Program Fellow for the Cyber Initiative and Special Projects at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
