Climate change, digital transformation, and geopolitical tensions – megatrends are reshaping the environment for foundations. “Strategic Foresight” is often cited as a key tool to act more proactively and resiliently. But how can it be applied to the day-to-day work of foundations?

At the request of our members, we are offering a follow-up to the symposium session “Foresight and Philanthropy: Beyond the Buzzwords”. The focus will be on an open and easy exchange of knowledge and experiences. The session will begin with a short input on Strategic Foresight by David Hesse (Stiftung Metcator Schweiz), followed by an open discussion:

• How do you get started if you’ve never applied Strategic Foresight before?

• Where should you begin, and what do the processes for implementation and further development look like?

• How can smaller foundations make use of this methodology?

This format thrives on your questions: bring your perspectives and concerns, and together we will gather concrete ideas on how to use foresight in the daily work of foundations. All interested SwissFoundations members are warmly invited to participate – regardless of whether you attended the session at the symposium.

Please note: This online meeting will be conducted in German or English, depending on the participants’ language backgrounds.
