Thank you, Laetitia, and Welcome Susan: New Co-lead of Corporate Foundations Working Group
The SwissFoundations Corporate Foundations Working Group offers corporate foundations a platform to network, exchange ideas, learn from each other, and explore new ways to increase their impact. Like all our working groups, this one benefits from strong and dynamic joint leadership by experienced experts who commit to steering the working group’s program for a few years at a time.
Laetitia Vuillemenot from the Givaudan Foundation is now stepping down as co-lead, and we thank her wholeheartedly for her tremendous dedication.
Replacing her as co-chair of the Corporate Foundations working group is Susan Simmons (see picture), director of The Audemars Piguet Foundations. Susan is a Swiss-born executive with a background in political science (University of Geneva, Switzerland), cultural institution management (City University of London, UK), and global strategy (London Business School, UK). She began her career at the World Economic Forum (WEF), advancing corporate partnerships to foster dialogue between business, government, and civil society on sustainability. She then held roles at institutions like Geneva’s Grand Theatre and the GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition) Foundation, where she worked with global business leaders to design inclusive business models and responsible supply chains. At JTI, she led community investment and employee engagement initiatives across Switzerland.
In 2018, she became General Secretary of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees and later contributed to the creation of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good. As Director of the Audemars Piguet Foundations, Susan plays a pivotal role in guiding the organisations’ strategic directions, in fostering impactful programmes and in ensuring alignment with the Group’s commitment to sustainable, community-driven impact worldwide.
